There is no two words any more powerful than "Thank You". Yet, these two words are used so infrequently, we sometimes forget they are even part of our vocabulary. There is great power in giving thanks for what we have (good and bad). If we all take a few minutes each day to look at our lives and give thanks for the things that were brought to us each day, we will eventually see the world through a much happier and successful light.
We should give thanks for the challenges that are presented to us each day, as these are the very things that allow us to lean and grow an people and business professionals. Without new things to conquer and greater heights to achieve, we would stay stagnant and not achieve the true success that we are capable of.
Step back and be thankful for the small things that are given to us each day, as some people do not have the ability to experience them:
- Snow Falling
- Flowers blooming
- Birds singing
- Talking with our children or our parents
- Meeting someone new
- Enjoying the taste of a new food
In live, we have the choice to be positive or be negative. We have the choice to ask; why did this have to happen to me? or to say; Thank you for the opportunity to grow through this challenge. Regardless of the choice we make, we will always be one thing and that is RIGHT. If we view ourselves as a failure because of the bad things that are happening, more bad will come and we will be right. If we view ourselves as someone who can handle many challenges, find solutions and grow through the experience, we will also be right and good will come our way.
Always be grateful for what you have and not envious of what you don't have. Most importantly, always remember to say Thank You.
