It is my distinct honor to be the Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Leelanau and Grand Traverse County representative for Homes For Heroes.  After spending over 15 years in the Fire Service, being married to an Emergency Room Physician, having two sons in the Army, I have a deep appreciation for what our heroes do for the community and the nation.  So often our Heroes go unthanked for what they do.  It is their job and success is expected of them.  When is the last time you thanked your doctor for taking care of you or your local police officer for keeping your community safe.  Did you ever thank any of your teachers for educating you to the point tht you are today.  How about all of our men and women in the armed services - I know we remember them on Memorial and Veteran's Day but we should be remembering them and thanking them daily.  Homes For Heroes is my way of thanking our Heroes everyday for what they do for our communities.  Homes For Heroes can save our Heroes THOUSANDS of dollars on the purchase or sale of a home.  They receive 25% of my commission earned, a reduced title fee, reduced loan origination fees from our affiliate lender.  On top of those discounts, I have partnered with local businesses to offer discounts to the Heroes in my program.  It is a great program and it should be available iin all areas for our Heroes.  If you know an area that does not offer the program, let me know and I can put you in contact with someone who can  help bring this to your area.

I am proud to serve on the Development Committee with Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan as well as the Chair of the Raffle Committee for this year's Festival of Tables.  Festival of Tables is an annual event that Child and Family Services holds to raise money for the much needed services that they provide to the community.  Adoption and Foster Parenting services are just a few of the many services that are provided.  If you are interested in becoming involved with this wonderful organizaiton, we always have a spot for our greatly valued volunteers. 

Although, I can assist any home buyer, I have two areas of residential specialty that I enjoy focusing on. 

The first time home buyer is a very exciting client to work with.  At this time in our economy, there are many programs available to our first time home buyers.  The $8,000 tax credit stimulus program is a fabulous tool for first time home buyers.

203K Rehab loans seem to be a well kept secret.  These loans can assist buyers with upgrading homes as well as paying for FHA mandated repairs on a home.  These loans are wonderful for the first time homebuyer who wants to put a little sweat equity into their home.  There are two versions of this loan, a standard and a streamline version. Each are a little different.  You shoudl contact a local 203K Speaciliast in your area for additional information on this wonderful loan program.

Waterfront properties is the other residential area that I specialize in.  Northern Michigan is home to some of the most incredible bodies of water in the country.  We have a spectacular inventory of both primary homes and second homes in the Grand Traverse area.  Weather it be river front, lake front or bay front, Northern Michigan has the perfect setting for you.
